The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos and one buffalo chip this week:
- Bravo to the Jamestown Blue Jay football team for earning the North Dakota 11-A championship. The title is the first outright championship for the program since 1937.
- Bravo to increased travel plans for the Thanksgiving holiday season. The holidays are a traditional time of family gatherings but were derailed last year by the coronavirus pandemic. This year, despite higher gas prices, people are planning on returning to the road to see loved ones.
- Buffalo chip to the difficulties school lunch programs are facing getting supplies. No students are missing any meals, but administrators are scrambling to find sources for food and have raised concerns about higher prices.
- Bravo to the kickoff of the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. The program is a holiday fixture and helps raise money used by the Salvation Army all year.
