The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos this week:
- Bravo to Grace Hegerle, Jamestown High School senior voted to the Class A girls basketball all-state second team for the second straight year. She received the honor from the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NDAPSSA).
Bravo to Carson Lamp, Jamestown High School senior voted to the Class A boys basketball all-state second team by the NDAPSSA.
Bravo to Alex Huber of Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier and Lucas Schumacher of Linton/HMB, who were recently named to the Class B boys basketball all-state first team by the NDAPSSA. And, to Ellendale's Scott Wagner who was named to the Class B all-state second team. Schumacher and Wagner were second-team selections last year.
- Bravo to Madelyn Schmidt of Kidder County and Sadie Hansen of Oakes, who were recently named to the all-state second team in Class B girls basketball by the NDAPSSA. Schmidt received the honor for a third consecutive year.
- Bravo to the University of Jamestown’s shooting sports team, which qualified for the Association of College Unions International Collegiate Clay Target Championships in San Antonio, Texas.
- Bravo to the Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier boys basketball team, which placed second in the state Class B boys basketball championship game against Kindred in Minot.
