As our community, state and country continue to adjust to the new normal during the COVID-19 pandemic, remember there are resources available if you need help. At WomenHeart Jamestown/Heart Redneck I work every day to make sure women have the information to keep their hearts and bodies healthy. Heart disease in women is often misdiagnosed or completely missed. In order to prevent a heart attack women need information, but they also need access to health care and often times prescription medications.
If North Dakotans need some extra help paying for the prescription medications during these challenging times, there are programs available to help. Many pharmaceutical companies offer payment assistance programs and patients can visit www.medicineassistancetool.org to search for programs that they may qualify for. There are only a few questions and the search engine will connect you with programs offered by the individual companies. These are challenging times and every little bit helps. I hope if anyone is struggling that they will seek out and use every available resource.
