Brett Barta has been an assistant boys hockey coach since 2012 for Andover High School. Last season, the Huskies won the Class AA state title, something he was not able to accomplish despite two championship game appearances when he was a player for Moorhead High School. Barta is a middle school teacher in Andover and he discusses his career as a coach, player and teacher. He also gives scouting reports on SCSU recruits Gavyn Thoreson and Leo Gruba, talks about his relationship with Andover head coach Mark Manney and his long friendship with Moorhead head coach (and former SCSU player) Jon Ammerman. Barta joins Mick Hatten on this week's Huskies Hockey Insider.

Long before he was an Olympic hero and a Stanley Cup winner with the Washington Capitals, TJ Oshie was a high school sophomore moving from his home near Seattle to Warroad, where his family had roots, to play hockey.

Adam Fantilli is only 17 years old, but after winning a Clark Cup and being named playoff MVP with the Chicago Steel he'll take his talents to Michigan to play for the Wolverines this fall ahead of next summer's draft. Charlie Lindgren Discusses Signing With the Capitals, Last Season in the Blues Organization, Memories Of SCSU

Charlie Lindgren had a big week last week. On July 13, Lindgren signed a three-year, $3.3 million contract with the Washington Capitals. Unlike in the past, this is an NHL contract and not a two-way deal. Lindgren played last season in the St. Louis Blues organization, winning all five of his starts with the Blues and then helping the Springfield Thunderbirds reach the AHL's Calder Cup championship series. Lindgren discusses his pro career, playing for St. Cloud State (2013-16), his hockey family and more on the Huskies Hockey Insider podcast with The Rink Live's Mick Hatten.

For around a decade, Cody McLeod was a guy that Minnesota Wild fans loved to hate, as he scored goals and dropped the gloves for the hated Colorado Avalanche. After two years as a player in the Wild's minor league system, McLeod recently retired and has joined the team in a coaching role.
