JAMESTOWN - After leading 31-21 at the break, Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal outscored LaMoure 19-10 in the third and cruised to a 61-39 win over the Loboes tonight in the District 5 girls' basketball tournament.
P-B-K's Carly Snow scored eight of her game-high 22 points in the third period. Kelly Carlson also scored 12 points in the game for the Rebels, who move on to tomorrow's semifinals.
The No. 2-seeded Rebels forced 25 LaMoure turnovers in the contest. P-B-K turned the ball over 16 times.
The No. 7-seeded Loboes were led by Becky Watkins with 13 points, while Katie Hodem added another six.
The Rebels outrebounded the Loboes 36-29, led by Chelsea VanRay with eight boards.
P-B-K made 25 of 61 field goals in the game, while LaMoure made good on 16 of 45 shots from the floor.
The Rebels will face the winner of tonight's final quarterfinal game between No. 3-seeded Ellendale and No. 6-seeded Central Prairie tomorrow at 8 p.m.
