DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) -- The state Game and Fish Department says oxygen levels in Devils Lake appear to be fine.
Heavy snow cover on a lake over the winter can lead to reduced oxygen and cause fish kills.
Fisheries biologist Randy Hiltner says Health Department officials did oxygen testing on Devils Lake a few weeks ago and everything checked out fine.
Devils Lake is considered one of the premier walleye fisheries in the Midwest, if not the country.
