Optimist Club weekly athletes

Cora Wolsky, Sydney Hollingsworth and Jean Avitt-Youth were named Jamestown Optimist Club athletes of the week.

Wolsky, a junior on the Blue Jay girls golf team, led JHS at the Bismarck Century Invite on Aug. 27, carding a personal best 48-39--87 at Tom O'Leary Golf Course.

Hollingsworth, a senior on the Jimmie women's soccer team from San Leandro, California, scored a natural hat trick in the second half of UJ's 7-1 victory over York College (Neb.) last Friday.

Avitt-Youth, a senior on the Jimmie men's soccer team from Limbe, Cameroon, assisted Aaron Pike on UJ's winning goal in UJ's 2-1 victory over University of Mary last Sunday.

Hillcrest tourney rescheduled

The Hillcrest Men's Association Golf Tournament has been rescheduled to Sept. 14 due to poor weather forecasts.

The tourney begins at 8:30 a.m. with a meeting, followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Register at Hillcrest Pro Shop on Sept. 14.
