Enderlin (8-0) remains undefeated having cruised to a 52-43 win over LaMoure/Litchville-Marion in the semifinals of the Barnes County boys basketball tournament Thursday in Valley City. Enderlin will play Maple Valley in Friday's championship game at 7:30 p.m., while the Loboes will face Griggs County for third place at 6 p.m.

Enderlin sophomore Joseph Hurlburt led the Eagles in scoring with 16 points while Dawson Lemna threw up a perfect 5 of 5 for 11 points. Austin Glarum sank three of the team’s five 3-pointers. The team tallied nine personal fouls and came down with 25 rebounds.

The Loboes were led by both Rory Gentzkow and Corban Potts each racking up 16 points for 32 of the team’s 43. Gentzkow went 5 of 18 from the field and recorded 2 three-point shots. Potts was 7 of 19 inside the arc and 2 of 6 from the outside.

Maple Valley topped Griggs County Central 57-46 to advance to the Barnes County tournament championship game. The Raiders now sit at an even 4-4 on the season while Griggs County Central fell to a 3-6 overall record.

Maple Valley was led by Adam Punton at the hoop with 23 points while Evan Richman added 13 more to the scorebooks. Carson Hovelson ended his 30 minutes on the court with 11 points and Jacob Johnson shot and made four 2s. Grady Karges ended the scoring for Maple Valley with two.

Hunter Gronneberg topped the leaderboard for GCC with 18 while Jaxon Gronneberg ended his night with nine points. The duo recorded all three of the team’s 3-pointers.

Milnor/North Sargent topped Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page 60-51 day two of the Barnes County tournament at Valley City State. The Bulldogs earned its third win of the season while the Spartans fell to 0-7 overall.

Micah Anderson was the leader at the basket for Milnor/North Sargent breaking the 20 point mark to end with 21 total points. Mason Bogart racked up 18 more for the Bulldogs draining three 3-pointers. Matthew Asche rounded out the top-three scorers with 12 going 3 of 6 from outside the arc. The trio tallied all nine of the Bulldogs’ 3-point shots.

On the other side of the court, Landon Koenig kept his team in the game with 16 points going 8 of 16 from the field. Dalton Stein and Owen Zerface combined for 21 more hitting 6 of 21 shots from inside the arc.

Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page will face Sargent Central for the seventh-place title today at 3 p.m. Milnor/NS will compete for spot No. 5 against Barnes County North. The game is scheduled to tipoff at 4:30 p.m.

Barnes County North snuck past Sargent Central at the Barnes County tournament Thursday evening. The Bison rolled to a 57-35 victory to improve to 4-2 while Sargent Central dropped to 0-8 on the season.

Tristan Roaldson led the way at the hoop for the Bison with 16 points while Colby Bruner contributed another 12 points. Max Fehr and Tucker Brown also broke into the double digits with 11 and 10 point totals. Tanner Soupir was the fifth and final scorer for BCN with eight on the night. The team shot for 19 of 45 from inside the arc and went 3 of 10 outside. The team also boasted a 10-12 percentage from the paint.

Jayden Hajek topped the scoring category for Sargent Central putting up 16 of the team’s 35 points. Hajek was 7 of 12 on two-point shots and was 2-4 from the foul line.
