Iron Helmet game scheduled

The Jamestown High School football team has added Valley City to its current schedule.

The Blue Jays will host the Hi-Liners on Sept. 25 at Ernie Gates Field replacing a previously scheduled home meeting against Williston. The Williston football team is being quarantined from Friday, Sept. 11, to Tuesday, Sept. 22, due to discovered COVID-19 cases, the school indicated in a letter to parents late last week.

The Blue Jays and the Hi-Liners introduced a traveling trophy to its rivalry games in 2017. Jamestown is 2-0 in Iron Helmet games, last defeating Valley City 30-14 in 2018.

The Hi-Liners (1-1) are currently ranked fifth in the Class AA media ranking and host Hazen (1-2) on Friday.
