Soccer suffers loss in Minot

The Jamestown High School boys soccer team couldn’t quite get things going on Friday afternoon. The Blue Jays fell 3-0 to Minot at the Magicians' home stadium. Minot previously beat JHS 6-0 on Aug. 27.

Manasseh Boqkye broke the ice in the first six minutes of the game sending the ball past Blue Jay keeper Jay Kupitz. The Blue Jays managed to keep it 1-0 until the 65th minute when Xander Herrman gave the Magicians a two-point advantage.

But when it rains it pours.

Three minutes after the Magicians' second goal, Ezra Hagerott scored the final goal of the game.

JHS will travel to Williston Saturday. The Blue Jays topped the Coyotes 4-1 on Aug. 22. The match is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
