Soccer unable to hold Minot
It wasn't a win for the Blue Jay soccer team but holding the No. 1 team in the West to just one goal, is something to be a little proud of.
Jamestown fell 1-0 to undefeated Minot Tuesday night at the Magicians' home field. The Jays will be back in action on their own field Thursday hosting Bismarck Century. The Blue Jays are sitting at the No. 7 spot in the conference standings at 3-7-0. Minot is 9-0-1 in conference and 11-0-1 overall.
Sophomore goalkeeper, Ryan Larson, made 12 saves for the Jays, letting just one midfield boot from Cayden Gibbons, settle into the back of the goal. Minot outshot the Blue Jays by 10 shots on goal. Minot's JJ Dufner made all three saves for the Magicians.
Gibbons scored the goal off an assist from Carson Winston in the first half.
