The University of Jamestown men’s basketball three ball was flying as they dismantled Dickinson State 93-69. The win sees the Jimmies improve to 1-0 on the season. The loss drops the Blue Hawks to 0-1 on the year. The Jimmies shot 50% from beyond the arc in this game.

The Jimmies sprinted out to an early lead as with 17:55 to go, Will Cordes splashed a deep three, giving the Jimmies the 7-2 lead. The Jimmies bench exploded as Devon Schultz got a rebound, hit the bucket, and got fouled making the game 16-4 with 15 minutes to go. As the Jimmies turned the ball over for the sixth time, the Blue Hawks' Bryce Knox hit a layup forcing Jimmies head coach Danny Neville to call a timeout. Out of the timeout the Jimmies almost turned it over again but they managed to keep it and Cordes hit a corner three to give the Jimmies the 28-15 lead with 7 minutes to go.

After a foul on the Jimmies, they got the ball back and Marc Kjos hit a three to extend the Jimmies lead to 44-28.

The Jimmies bench exploded with 16:31 to go as Schultz caught an alley-oop, slammed it home, and got whacked all in one motion to make the game 53-38. Dickinson’s Knox hit a three with a hand in his face with 10 minutes to go to bring the game to within ten points, 64-54. The crowd erupted as John Evans hit the bucket and got fouled with 8:09 to go, making the game 66-59. The Jimmies stole some momentum back as Cordes hit a three and then the Jimmies forced a turnover on the other end. Off that turnover, Marc Kjos swished a deep three to give the Jimmies a 15 point lead with 5:36 to go. Mason Walters got a dunk of his own to make the game 88-67 with 2 minutes to go. Tyce Dahlberg for the Blue Hawks hit a floater at the buzzer to end a 93-69 win for the Jimmies.
