Post 14 beats West Fargo at Phil Brown Classic
Jamestown Post 14 handed West Fargo its first loss of the Phil Brown Classic with a 3-0 victory Saturday afternoon at Jack Brown Stadium.
All three of Jamestown's run came in the fifth inning as Tommy Falk, Max Anderson and Kohl Kratz each had an RBI in the contest.
Starting pitcher Dawson Douty went the distance for the third-consecutive game as he tossed a two-hit, complete-game shutout. On the last out of the game, Douty's leg started cramping but Post 14 coach Justin Connell said it's nothing serious.
After playing only one game on Saturday, Jamestown plays the Minot Metros on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and against Gillette (Wyo.) during the final game of the tournament at 7:30 p.m.
