The Jamestown Tarno Townies won a third straight North Dakota 35 and over amateur baseball state tournament over the weekend at Jack Brown Stadium.

The Tarnos cruised to a 3-0 record in tournament play, defeating the Wishek Sausages 8-0, the Enderlin Indies 9-0 and Fairview 11-0.

The Townies' Cory Anderson threw a one-hit game in shutting out the Sausages. Danny Fischer connected for a home run during a three-hit performance for the champs.

Danny White pitched a two-hit game against the Indies for the Townies. The local team received two hits each from Sam Joseph and Jason Bitz. Bitz drove in three runs.

Against Fairview, Tarno's Greg Lunski and Jason Schutt combined to pitch a one-hitter. Jim Klemann drove in three runs with a pair of hits, while Schutt connected for a two-run homer.

Tolna finished the tournament at 2-1, Enderlin at 1-2, Fairview at 1-2 and Wishek at 0-3.

Gould's All-Stars topped Enderlin 9-6. The All-Stars were paced by Nate Soulis (3-for-3, 4 RBIs), Preston Gall (1-3, 2 RBIs), Ethan Gall (1-3, 2 RBIs) and Tyson Jorisson (2 hits).
