Franmil Reyes belted a pair of solo homers among his three hits to fuel the host Cleveland Indians to a 7-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday.

Jose Ramirez homered for the second time in as many days and joined Jake Bauers by recording an RBI double for the Indians, who have won three in a row.

Aaron Civale (4-0) overcame a rocky start to allow four runs on eight hits in 7 2/3 innings. He retired 13 batters in a row at one point before Byron Buxton belted a solo homer in the eighth to trim Cleveland's lead to 5-4.

Cleveland padded its lead in unconventional fashion in the bottom of the eighth inning. Cesar Hernandez drew a bases-loaded walk and Jordan Luplow was hit by a pitch to drive in another run.

James Karinchak retired all four batters he faced to notch his second save of the season.

Nelson Cruz ripped an RBI triple and Willians Astudillo and Alex Kirilloff each had a run-scoring single for the Twins, who have lost four in a row and 13 of their last 15 games.

Reyes led off the second inning by depositing a first-pitch slider from Kenta Maeda (1-2) over the wall in left field to forge a tie at 2. Reyes then sent a first-pitch fastball from Maeda over the wall in left field with two outs in the sixth inning to stake Cleveland to a 4-3 lead.

Reyes has a team-leading seven homers on the season, with three coming in the last three games.

Josh Naylor's double to deep center drove Maeda from the game, and Bauers promptly greeted Caleb Thielbar with an RBI double off the wall in right field to extend the Indians' advantage to 5-3.

That closed the book on Maeda, who permitted five runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings.

Ramirez homered in the first inning and was credited with an RBI double in the third after left fielder Kirilloff misplayed his fly ball, giving Cleveland a 3-2 lead. The advantage was short-lived, however, as Astudillo's single to right-center field plated Cruz.
