Bismarck Legacy increased its unbeaten start in West Region baseball to 7-0 on Tuesday night at Jack Brown Stadium.

The Sabers' sophomore Wyatt Kraft twirled a five-hit, 4-0 shutout to open a conference doubleheader against Jamestown High School before Legacy overcame a 6-3 deficit in game 2 to sweep 7-6.

The Sabers scored three runs in the third inning of game 1 on a pair of sacrifice flies and an RBI single off the bat of senior Jack Johnson. Jamestown starter Jacoby Nold issued back-to-back walks to start the inning.

Nold was saddled with the loss after allowing four runs -- three earned -- on four hits and four walks through six innings. On the other side, Kraft turned in the complete game with no walks and a pair of strikeouts.

Legacy scratched across the fourth run in the sixth on Jamestown's lone error of the contest. Mason Lunzman went 2-for-3 at the plate for the home team.

The Sabers scored once in the fifth in game 2 and plated two more in the sixth to eke out the one-run victory and conference sweep. Legacy's Isaac Pegors, Johnson, and Miles Stiefel all clubbed extra-base hits in the winning effort.

Jamestown's bats also heated up as the night wore on, connecting for 14 base hits in the second game. Ty Monson doubled and drove in three runs, Jackson Walters also doubled and drove in two, while Nold (3-for-5) and Brooks Roaldson (2-for-4) also raised their batting averages.

Jamestown (2-9, 1-9 West Region) plays at winless Watford City (0-14) on Friday.

Loboes walk-off Tornadoes

Garrett Hebl's walk-off, two-run single in the bottom of the seventh kept LaMoure/Litchville-Marion baseball perfect on the season Tuesday night at LaMoure's Townsend Field.

The game-winning jolt powered the Loboes to a 5-4, come-from-behind victory, as the Loboes moved to 8-0 on the season. Hebl finished batting 2-for-3 with a double, while Landon Piehl was credited with the victory after recording just one out in the top of the seventh.

Jaidy Gebhardt (2-for-4) and Conor Schall (1-for-3, 3 runs) led the visitors at the dish. Oakes dropped to 7-6 overall.

The Tornadoes are scheduled to host Central Cass on Thursday, the same day the Loboes are slated to host Sheyenne-New Rockford at 5 p.m.
