Jamestown youth Adisyn Yunck was crowned the Elks "Hoop Shoot" Northwest Central Regional champion on March 10 in Rapid City, S.D.

Yunck, a 9-year-old student at St. John's Academy, drained 19 of 25 free throws in the 8-to 9-year-old division.

She will head to Chicago, Ill., along with her parents Travis and April, to compete alongside 12 finalists in the Elks "Hoop Shoot" National Free Throw Contest on April 19-22. Travel will be paid by the Elks.

The six winners will get their names inscribed on a plaque in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Those wishing to give Adisyn their best "swishes" can go to enf.elks.org/greetings and find her name to leave her an e-greeting.
