Basketball Booster club meetings

The Jamestown Basketball Boosters club will hold two annual meetings next month at the North Dakota Farmers Union building. The first will be the annual boosters meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 6 p.m. Three weeks later, the youth travel coaches' meeting will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 26, also at 6 p.m.

Jays sixth at Williston Invite

The Jamestown High School girls golf team finished in sixth place (419) Monday at the Williston Invite.

Sophomore Kyra Vogel led the Blue Jays at Links of North Dakota with a 94 on the day. Alyssa Zachrison's 98 was second on the team card.

Williston took top honors with a 334 final score, which was eight strokes better than Bismarck Century (342). The Coyotes' Carrie Carmichael scored the lowest total of the day with a 76. Williston's Kaleigh Carmichael shot a 78, and Bismarck Century's Hannah and Leah Herbel each scored a 79.

Jamestown will play at Heart River Golf Course tomorrow in Dickinson.
