Two days after upsetting fourth-ranked Carrington, Medina/Pingree-Buchanan girls basketball dropped its first game of the season Thursday in Pingree.

LaMoure/Litchville-Marion's Molly Musland, Tessa Rasmusson and Mollie Robbins combined for 37 points in a 46-35 victory over the Thunder. Both teams exited the gym at 4-1 overall.

Ryleigh Martin led the home team with 18 points. The Loboes bounced back after a six-point setback to fifth-ranked Linton/HMB on Tuesday in LaMoure.

The Thunder are scheduled to host Edgeley/KM (5-4) on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Medina. The Loboes play Saturday in Colfax against Richland (2-3)

KC's Schmidt scores 25

All-state guard Madelyn Schmidt poured in 25 points Thursday in Ellendale to help lift Kidder County over the Cardinals.

The Wolves (5-1) have won three straight since a four-point hiccup to Northern Cass on Dec. 19 in Jamestown and will host Strasburg/Zeeland on Tuesday in Steele. The Cards are at South Border in Ashley on Saturday.

Rebels roll past Mustangs

Mataeya Mathern scored a game-high 14 points to help Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier defeat South Border 53-32 in Kulm.

Reagan Teske also reached double figures for the Rebels scoring 13. Emily Jochim paced the 2-3 Mustangs with seven points.
