Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier flexed its muscle Friday defeating sixth-ranked Kindred in Kulm.

Alex Huber poured in a game-high 24 points for the home team, helping the Rebels improve to 7-1 with a 44-39 victory over Vikings. Kindred, previously 6-0, hadn't scored less than 59 points all season.

Clinging to a 32-30 lead after three quarters, Huber scored 11 points in the final frame. The senior buried his third 3-pointer of the game and sank 4 of 5 at the foul line in the last eight minutes.

The Rebels travel to Leal on Tuesday to play Barnes County North (2-6).

Cardinals fly past Titans

Scott Wagner scored 21 points in Glenfield to help Ellendale roll 44-23 over Griggs-Midkota.

The stingy Cardinals' defense allowed four points in the first quarter and two points -- a field goal to Tanner Haugen -- in the fourth.

The Cardinals (7-1) host Medina/Pingree-Buchanan (3-2) today (Jan. 16) at 4 p.m. The Titans (2-7) host LaMoure/Litchville-Marion (7-3) on Tuesday in Cooperstown.

Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter girls basketball ran away from Medina/Pingree-Buchanan 61-34 in Medina.

Teagan Erbele scored 17 points for the Imperials (4-5), who won their third game in a row and will host Oakes (7-0) on Monday in Gackle.

The Thunder (5-2) travel to Ellendale (4-6) today (Jan. 16).
