Bellevue beats Jimmies in MCAC-DAC-FAC semis

The Jamestown College men's soccer season came to an end on Friday.

The Jimmies lost to host Bellevue 5-0 in the MCAC-DAC-FAC Independent Tournament semifinals.

Mark Heath-Preston scored two first-half goals for the Bruins, who improved to 12-3-1 and earned a spot in the championship match.

Heath-Preston scored just 7:06 into the game. Jordan Gengler and the Jimmies kept the Bruins off the board for the next 30-plus minutes before Bellevue scored three goals in eight minutes at the end of the first half and start of the season.

Graeme Eaglesham scored at 41:48, Heath-Preston again one minute later and Eaglesham got his second at the 49:46 mark to make it 4-0.

Gengler finished with nine saves in goal for the Jimmies, who finished the season at 2-17-1.

Bellevue keeper Sebastian Navarez stopped all five JC shots he faced.
