VERMILLION, S.D. — North Dakota State scored 24 unanswered points in the second half to rally for a 34-17 victory against South Dakota on Saturday in Missouri Valley Football Conference play at the DakotaDome.

Bison fullback Hunter Luepke rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 20 attempts to help fuel the strong second half. NDSU rushed for 358 yards against the Coyotes before 6,530 fans.

NDSU (3-1, 1-0 MVFC) won its conference opener for a 12th consecutive season.
