FARGO — North Dakota State is headed to the NCAA Division I FCS championship game for the 10th time in the past 12 seasons after a heart-pounding 35-32 victory against Incarnate Word on Friday night before 12,569 fans at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
Bison senior safety Dawson Weber intercepted Incarnate Word quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. at the 18-yard line with 1 minute, 13 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
NDSU running back Kobe Johnson rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns on 15 attempts, including the go-ahead 31-yard TD run in the fourth quarter that proved to be the difference.
