The Blue Jays won their second meet of the year Friday evening.

Jamestown tumbled to a score of 143.6 at the Valley City Invite, nearly four points higher than their score at their opening home meet. The Jays' hosted Wahpeton/Breckenridge on Dec. 15 and outscored the visitors 139.3-121.5.

The Jays are slated to make the 30-minute trek out to Valley City again on Tuesday. The dual is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

Haley Nelson showed off why she is a two-time state champ on Friday. The JHS junior took the meet's all-around title with a score of 37.5.

Nelson won the vault, beam and floor competitions, and swung to a second-place finish on bars. Julia Skari took second in the all-around with a score of 36.05.
