The second night way out west went a lot better than the first.
After a 3-0 loss to Dickinson, the Jamestown High School volleyball team bounced back with a 3-1 win over Williston on Saturday night, leveling their region mark at 1-1 and improving to 6-3 overall.
"We had eight net errors in Game 2 against Dickinson (Friday) and you can't win a match doing that," JHS coach Sarah Hegerle said. "In the whole match against Williston we didn't hardly have any. We played really well. It was exciting."
It wasn't easy, though. In fact, they fell down 1-0, but rattled off the next three sets, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-21 in front of a hostile crowd at Phil Jackson Gymnasium.
"Their crowd was brutal," Hegerle said. "It was really nice to get through that and come out on top, especially considering we have a young team."

Addie Eamon pounded in 12 kills to lead a balanced JHS attack. Katie Ramlo added 11 to go with 18 assists.
"Katie played probably the best match I've ever seen her play," Hegerle said.
The passing and defense were strong. Josie Hegerle added 13 assists, while McKayla Orr got high marks for her 27 digs.
"McKayla was a stud. She was awesome," Hegerle said.
Freshman McKayla Keller also played a key role in the win, Hegerle said, contributing seven kills and two aces in her first varsity action.
"She was a big reason why we won," Hegerle said. "She was awesome."
The Blue Jays head back on the road on Friday when they play at Minot. Before that on Thursday, the JHS JV will play the Carrington varsity here.
