The Jamestown Blue Jays JV softball team was crowned WDA champions Saturday in Minot.
Jamestown's junior varsity capped three regional tournament wins with a convincing 13-1 victory over Minot Maroon to seal the title. Makenna Nold drove in six of Jamestown's 13 runs, connecting for a grand slam in the third inning.
Nold also clinched the win in the circle, allowing one run on a hit and one walk while striking out six through four innings.
The Blue Jays banged out 11 hits, with Nold, Abbie Banet, and Torrie Mack collecting multiple hits.
Jamestown advanced to the title game by securing wins over both Bismarck High and Minot Gold earlier Saturday.

Nold batted 3-for-3 and pitched six innings to earn the win in Jamestown's 4-3 win over Bismarck.
Jamestown scored five runs in the fifth inning in its 11-8 victory over Minot Gold. Torrie Mack allowed seven runs on six hits with two strikeouts to earn the pitching victory.
Mack and Addison Graves each hit home runs at the plate, part of a 13-hit game for the Blue Jays' offense.
