LaMoure/Litchville-Marion baseball topped South Border 12-1 on the Class B diamond Tuesday in Ashley.

Landon Piehl logged the five-inning win for the Lobes on the mound, fanning six while allowing just the lone run. Anthony Hanson (2-for-2) and James Sandness (2-for-3) both turned in a multi-hit day offensively for the winners, who improved to 9-1 overall and 7-1 in Region 3.

Marshall Lindgren shouldered the loss for the Mustangs, picking up four strikeouts as South Border stands at 4-7 and 1-7 in the region.

The Loboes bounced back from its only loss so far this season, a 3-0 setback to Sheyenne-New Rockford (5-9, 3-6 Region 3) last Thursday in LaMoure. LLM plays Kidder County/Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter (6-9, 4-4) on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in Steele.

South Border hosts Sheyenne-New Rockford on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Ashley.

Cards top Black Sox

The Cardinals hung eight runs on the board in a walk-off sixth inning hosting the Sheyenne-New Rockford Black Sox on Monday in Carrington.

Carrington rolled to a 14-4 victory, with Lucas Hendrickson firing 11 strikeouts over five innings to notch the win on the hill. Hendrickson also collected a pair of hits at the plate and drove in a pair of runs, with teammates Hudson Schmitz (3-for-4) and Alex Trelstad (2-for-2) also swinging the sticks well.

Hunter Jacobson clubbed a double and drove in a pair of runs for the Black Sox, who sit at 5-9 and 3-6 in Region 3 and will travel to Ashley Thursday to face South Border at 4 p.m.

Carrington (9-4, 6-2 Region 3) hosts the Midkota Mustangs (5-7, 3-4) on Thursday at 4 p.m.
