Class B baseball: Nolan hits first career homer for Wolves

Senior first baseman Jacob Nolan connected for his first career home run Tuesday in Wishek, helping Kidder County/Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter baseball to a 12-4 victory over South Border.

Senior first baseman Jacob Nolan connected for his first career home run Tuesday in Wishek, helping Kidder County/Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter baseball to a 12-4 victory over South Border.

The Wolves (1-2) piled up 10 runs in four innings, moving to 1-0 in Region 3 play. Along with Nolan's homer on a 2-for-3 night, Blake Pfaff batted 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored in the winning effort.

Pfaff also notched the win on the mound, allowing one earned run through five innings with eight strikeouts.

Trentan Finck shouldered the loss for the Mustangs, who allowed four earned runs out of the 12. Marshall Lindgren batted 2-for-4 with an RBI for the home team.

The Wolves play Langdon in Carrington on Friday at 2:30 p.m., before playing both Park River/Fordville-Lankin and North Star in New Rockford on Saturday beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The Mustangs are scheduled to play at Sheyenne-New Rockford on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and at Carrington later on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

Loboes top Black Sox

LaMoure/Litchville-Marion baseball stayed perfect through four games on Tuesday in New Rockford.

The Loboes received a standout starting pitching performance in a 5-1 victory over the Sheyenne-New Rockford Black Sox. Anthony Hanson tossed all seven innings for LLM, scattering four hits and allowing one unearned run while striking out seven.

Connor Johnson drove in a pair of runs to spur the Loboes' offense, which broke open a one-run game with four runs in the top of the fifth.

The Loboes improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in Region 3, while the Black Sox dropped to 1-3 and 0-2 in region play. LLM is set to play Park River/Fordville-Lankin and Northern Lights this Friday back in New Rockford at 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
