The Chargers (6-16, 1-10) got the opening point of the second set on a service ace from Tannah Heath but the Jimmies responded with a 6-1 run to take a 6-2 lead. After the Chargers fought back to tie the set up at six, the teams traded points the next 10 combined points to see the match tied up at 11. The Jimmies would respond by going on a 7-2 run to take an 18-13 lead, drawing a Chargers timeout. The timeout would do little to stop the Jimmies' momentum as they finished the set on a 7-3 run to win 25-16.
