Jimmies use big second half surge to beat Providence 5-0
The Jimmies have now won two games in a row for the first time since Oct. 5-6, 2021.
JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown was held off the board for the first 44 minutes but once they did open the scoring, the floodgates opened in a 5-0 win over Providence College (MB.) on Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Jimmie Turf Field.
The Jimmies opened the scoring with 15 seconds left to go before halftime when Joel Hyland slotted one home to make it 1-0. The Jimmies put up four goals in less than 10 minutes from Jona Touissant, Diego Righi, Jon Torres, and Kael Calder to take a 5-0 lead in the second half.
The Jimmies are back in action at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, when they go to Concordia University.
