DAVIE, Fla. (TSX) - Miko Grimes, the outspoken wife of Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl cornerback Brent Grimes, raised eyebrows once again when she posted questionable tweets about quarterback Ryan Tannehill and local media members after Sunday's 18-12 loss to Indianapolis.
Among the things Miko Grimes tweeted was, "I should've known we were gonna lose when I heard we didn't complete a single pass in two-minute drills this week against the practice squad defense" adding, "My Column: how many people does Ryan Tannehill have to get fired before you realize he's the problem."
She also tweeted about Tannehill, "I knew this qb stunk the minute we signed to this team but I tried to keep quiet so I didn't discourage bae from believing in his team."
Interim coach Dan Campbell said he isn't aware of a rift between Brent Grimes and Tannehill because of the tweets or things Miko Grimes has said in the past, including when she had a local weekly radio show.
"I've never sensed there's been any animosity or that there's been any type of disconnect between those two guys," Campbell said Monday. "That's never been an issue."
Brent Grimes, 32, is under contract for two more seasons at $8 million in 2016 and $7 million in 2017.
