University of Jamestown senior guard Kyra Dewald has been named an NAIA Division II second team All-American.
The Jamestown High School graduate averaged 15.1 points per game for the Jimmies, who advanced to the Elite 8 at the NAIA national tournament in Sioux City Iowa. Dewald also averaged 3.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Named the North Star Athletic Association MVP, Dewald shot 41.7 percent from the floor, including 36.2 percent from 3-point range and made 76.6 percent on free throws.
For her career, the 5-foot-5 Dewald totaled 1,338 career points, ranking seventh in program history.
Dickinson State senior center Megan Klein was named to the third team.
Earning honorable mention honors were juniors Lexi Lennon of Valley City State and Andi Gayner of Mayville State.

B.J. Shelton of Bellevue (Neb.) was the lone NSAA men's player named to one of the three teams. Shelton, a junior named to the second team, helped the Bruins to the Final 4 at nationals in Point Lookout, Mo.
Senior Donnell Minton of Presentation College, Valley City State junior Jayden Ferguson and Dickinson State junior Marcus White were named honorable mention.
