DICKINSON (AP) -- Dickinson State University athletic director Roger Ternes (TUR'nuhs) is leaving to become the AD at Wisconsin-River Falls.
Ternes has been at Dickinson State for 11 years. During that time, the school won four NAIA championships: three in men's track and field and one in women's volleyball. He says deciding to leave was difficult but it's an opportunity he can't pass up.
His final day with the Blue Hawks is July 16. He starts his duties at the NCAA Division III Wisconsin school July 19.
DSU President Richard McCallum says the university will search nationwide for a successor.
