Eleven Jamestown College track and field athletes have been named 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Ashleigh Anderson, Suzy Avey, Emmylyn Bentley, Rachel Bickford, Alyssa Bossler, AnnaLiesa Fauth, Rebecca Price and Sarah Skipper were honored from the Jimmie women's team. Representing the men's team were William Dean, Kelly Roemmich and Cody Roland.
Anderson, Bentley, Bossler and Skipper each competed in the NAIA national championships last weekend in Marion, Ind.
The 11 Jimmies honored were the most of any team in the Dakota Athletic Conference.
A total of 548 student-athletes were recognized by the NAIA. Student-athletes are nominated by their coach and must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify for the award.
