Five University of Jamestown wrestlers placed first at the Can/Am Open on Saturday.
Leading the way was Cara Romeike with a 5-0 mark at 136 pounds. Roemeike, a sophomore, won four matches by fall, including sticking Waldorf's Bailey McLaughlin at the 3:44 mark of the championship match.
Haley Hedgecock, Amy Fearnside and Dajan Treder each went 4-0.
Three of Hedgecock's four wins came by pin, including the 109-pound championship match over Alex Schell of Saskatchewan at the 4:05 mark.
Fearnside, a three-time All-American, took the 123-pound crown with a 4-0 day.

Dajan Treder, a 2016 All-American, rolled to a 4-0 mark with two pins at 116. She stuck Amber Wiebe of Regina in the title tilt.
At 101, Kim Cardenas won both of her matches.
The Jimmies had four wrestlers go 4-1, including Elisabeth Galvez (109), Joy Muniz (4-1), DJ White (170) and Sarah Moore (191).
Grecia Monasterio (123) and Caitlyn Kaz (130) each won three of their four matches. Myranda Velazquez (170) and Alyssa Schrull (170) had three wins apiece.
Men
The Jimmie men had three wrestlers win multiple matches in Des Moines, Iowa.
Jackson Schauer's 3-2 mark led the way at 157 pounds. Schauer defeated Erik Travers of Southern Illinois Edwardsville in the consolation championship.
Theo Robinson and Will Parks were the only other UJ wrestlers to win multiple matches. Robison went 2-2 at 184. Parks split four matches at heavyweight.
