Jamestown High School teammates will be competing against each other in the state 100-yard breaststroke 'A' final today in Bismarck.
Juniors Jonas Flann and Colton Carlson both earned a spot in the breaststroke final eight during preliminaries of the state boys swimming and diving meet on Friday at the Bismarck Aquatics Center.
Flann laid down the third quickest time of the prelims with a swim of 1 minute, 1.86 seconds. Bismarck Century's Jayden Porter (59.93) and Eric Bergeson (1:01.01) went 1-2, just ahead of Flann.
Carlson cruised home in 1:02.95, which was eighth fastest. Flann also snagged the 10th quickest time in the 50 freestyle (22.53) to qualify for the event's 'B' final today.
Jamestown sophomore Cole Rasmusson will also be competing in a 'B' final for the Blue Jays. His swim of 5:14.50 in the 500 freestyle was the 14th quickest in Friday's prelims.

Blue Jay divers Isaac Roy, Gage Poland and Jameson Holgerson all finished the prelims in the top 20. Roy was 11th (151.35), Poland was 16th (146.75) and Holgerson was 20th (140.55).
