Jamestown High School's varsity football game at Mandan scheduled for tonight (Oct. 21) has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 24.

Jamestown High School Athletic Director Jim Roaldson sent a letter to media outlets Wednesday afternoon stating the game has been rescheduled "out of an abundance of caution" after receiving notification of one confirmed positive case of COVID-19. The letter did not specify any further on the confirmed case.

The game is now scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Mandan's Starion Complex.

The letter said moving the game to the weekend will provide time for self-monitoring of coaches and players and allow the district time to investigate potential close contacts. JHS will issue any further updates by Friday evening if necessary.
