SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — No. 6-ranked North Dakota State avoided its first losing streak since 2009, which is the last time the Bison lost two football games in a row.
NDSU had a dominating defensive performance, including seven sacks, to spark a 25-0 victory against Missouri State on Saturday in Missouri Valley Football Conference play at Plaster Stadium.
The Bison (3-1, 2-1 MVFC) responded after a 38-14 loss at Southern Illinois the week before. That loss ended NDSU's Division I FCS record 39-game winning streak.
The Bison rushed for 272 yards on 48 attempts, while limiting the Bears to 63 rushing yards on 34 carries.
