Sunny skies and a high temperature of close to 80 degrees is in today's forecast for Jamestown, which most likely means area race fans will actually get to enjoy a full evening of racing at Jamestown Speedway.
The speedway has been plagued by rain the past four weeks, suffering three rain-shortened events and completely washing out last week's scheduled visit by the Northern Outlaw Sprint Association's (NOSA) cars and drivers.
The good news is that the annual Sprint Show at the speedway has been rescheduled for July 24th, and tonight's Bomber Special -- featuring seven rained out WISSOTA Modified, Midwest Modified, Street Stock and Central Dakota Pure Stock features -- is free to the public.
All race fans need to do is stop by any Stop-N-Go location in Jamestown, Valley City or Carrington to pick up a free grandstand ticket. Admission at the gate will be $5 for adults and free for ages 14 and under.
Tonight's Bomber Special will feature the Bomber classes from both Jamestown Speedway and Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen. No other heat races besides what's included in the Bomber Special will be ran this evening to make room for what is nothing short of a feature race extravaganza.

On deck tonight will be the rained out Modified, Midwest Modified and Street Stock features from May 22, and the rained out Modified, Midwest Modified, Street Stock and Bomber features from June 5.
The cars will fire up this evening at 7 p.m.
"The weather looks really good right now. I hate to jinx it," Jamestown Speedway general manager Joanne Dieterle said. "Once the (features) are done it amounts to two point nights for the drivers, and they should see a big jump in their (WISSOTA national) points to see where they're really at.
"We should have really good fields."
