Izzy Marchino's backswing is serving her well lately

Marchino, a member of the University of Jamestown's womens golf team, won the Jimmies' latest invite at Bully Pulpit Golf Course in Medora. Marchino shot a 91-81 combination for a 172 finish besting Jessalyn Shipp of South Dakota Mines by three strokes. Marchino previously won the Jimmie Fall Invite on Sept. 14.

Marchino was in good company.

The Jimmies had all five women golfers crack into the top 20. Sophomore Jayme Carlson ended her two rounds with a 181 good enough for a fifth place finish. Lone senior Paige Argent was two strokes behind Carlson with a 183 while Haley Malone finished in ninth carding a 184. Teagan Fee rounded out the group of five turning in a 192. UJ finished second out of three teams with a final score of 720.

The Jimmie men did not do so bad themselves.
