The first season for the Jamestown Gunslingers 14-U fast pitch softball team got underway at a tournament in West Fargo over the weekend.
Ashlie Meier picked up the Gunslingers' first-ever hit and RBI in a 15-4 loss to Thief River Falls on Saturday. Also on Saturday, Jamestown fell to Moorhead 18-2 and Dickinson 11-1.
Alieca Beckman notched a double for the Gunslingers in their contest against Moorhead, while Karlee Kutz broke up Dickinson's no-hitter with the Gunslingers' only hit in that contest.
On Sunday, the Gunslingers were no-hit by West Fargo 15-0.
"We lost all four but the girls learned a lot and had a lot of fun," coach Kevin Gall said.
