Loboes win opener
LaMoure/Litchville-Marion boys basketball kicked off the new season Monday defeating visiting Sargent County 57-43 in LaMoure.
Corban Potts (14 points) and Charlie Bowman (11) led the home team offensively. The Loboes (1-0) host Wyndmere-Lidgerwood (1-0) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The Warbirds defeated Hankinson in double overtime Monday, 87-83.

Class B basketball polls released
Oakes, Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock and Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier were all represented in the first Class B boys basketball state media poll of 2020-21.
The Tornadoes and the Lions each cracked the top 10, ranked seventh and 10th, respectively, while the Rebels received votes.
Linton/HMB girls basketball has been tabbed No. 7 in the first Class B girls basketball state media poll, while Carrington received votes.
The Class B media rankings are voted on by members of the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. The opening polls were released Monday.

Blue Jays ranked ninth
Jamestown boys hockey is ranked ninth in the state high school boys hockey preseason coaches' poll.
The Blue Jays were also tabbed third in the West Region by conference coaches, behind Bismarck Century and Minot. Jamestown opens the season tonight hosting Bismarck.
