University of Jamestown men’s hockey will be glad not to see Minot State University until March.

The Beavers defeated the Jimmies for a fourth straight time this season with a 4-1 victory Saturday at John L. Wilson Arena. Jamestown is now 1-4-1 against Minot this year and 8-9-1 overall.

The Beavers scored a pair of goals in the opening frame, along with a goal in the second and third period. The Jimmies’ Trevor Okino scored UJ’s lone tally 18 minutes, 30 seconds into period 3.

Jamestown will travel to the University of Mary on Dec. 13 for the first-ever contest between the two teams.
