Weather delays sporting events

The Jamestown High School boys hockey and gymnastics teams have both been forced to make adjustments due to the latest round of winter weather.

The Blue Jays' final regular-season boys hockey game scheduled for today at Bismarck High has been postponed to Saturday, Feb. 9, at 1:45 p.m. at the VFW Sports Center. Jamestown is currently holding a one-point lead over Minot for the No. 3 seed in the upcoming West Region tournament. Minot finishes the season facing Bottineau-Rugby. The West Region tournament begins next Thursday, Feb. 14, in Minot.

The Blue Jays' home gymnastics invitational scheduled for today has also been postponed. A makeup day has yet to be scheduled. The West Region gymnastics meet is slated for Feb. 15 in Minot.

-- Tonight's University of Jamestown men's wrestling dual vs. Dakota Wesleyan has been postponed to Sunday, Feb. 10. The dual will be begin at 6 p.m. at Harold Newman Arena.

-- Carrington's home boys basketball game against Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier has been postponed to Friday, Feb. 8, with JV starting at 6 p.m.
