Jamestown Eagles sweep Williston Oilers

The Jamestown Eagles swept a doubleheader from the Williston Oilers in Senior Babe Ruth Class A West Region play on Wednesday night in Williston.

Jamestown piled up 24 runs on 12 hits to win the opener 24-3 in five innings before taking the nightcap 8-3.

The Eagles were back in action since sweeping the Minot Metros at Jack Brown Stadium on June 10 and improved to 7-3 overall and 6-0 in the Class A West. The Eagles stay on the road Thursday, traveling to Watford City to play the Watford City Walleye in a second Class A West Region doubleheader beginning at noon. West Region standings on record had Williston at 0-1 and Watford City at 2-0 entering Wednesday.

Jamestown's current conference road trip continues next week at the Bismarck Representatives on Monday (June 22) and at the Mandan A's on Thursday (June 25). The Eagles will be back at Jack Brown Stadium on June 29 hosting the Bismarck Capitals beginning at 5:30 p.m.
