Jamestown Parks and Recreation sets warming house hours

McElroy Park has the only warming house available at this time.

The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department announces due to a lack of warming house attendants, the outdoor ice rink warming house at McElroy Park will be the only warming house open starting Sunday, Dec. 26. Warming houses at Meidinger and Leapaldt parks will open as attendants become available.

Regular hours in McElroy Park are 3:30-8 p.m., Monday through Friday,11 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.

During Christmas vacation (Dec. 26-Jan. 2), hours will be as follows:

Monday-Sunday: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

Dec. 24: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.


Dec. 25: closed

Dec. 31: 11 p.m.

Jan. 1: closed

Warming houses will not be open if the wind chill is 15 degrees or more below zero.
