The Jamestown Middle School football team held off Aberdeen (S.D.) to earn a 20-16 victory before losing 14-0 in Game 2 in Aberdeen.

The Blue Jays opened up to a 20-8 lead in Game 1 behind a Dylan Kleinjan 5-yard TD run, but then Aberdeen marched back in the fourth quarter to make it 20-16 before the final gun.

Andrew Hornung and Ben Hanson also scored touchdowns for the Blue Jays.

Hanson led Jamestown in rushing with 86 yards, while Logan Anderson had 50.

Aberdeen salvaged the split by shutting out Jamestown in Game 2. Austin Rene led the Blue Jays with 33 yards on the ground.
