The Jamestown College men's soccer team has qualified for the postseason for the first time in the program's history.
The Jimmies were one of four teams to qualify got an NAIA Independent Tournament consisting of teams from the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference, Dakota Athletic Conference and Frontier Athletic Conference.
The Jimmies finished the season 2-15-1, but strength of schedule factored into their selection for the tournament over teams that posted better records against weaker schedules.
The tournament will be held Friday and Saturday on the campus of Bellevue (Neb.), which drew the No. 1 seed. Jamestown College faces Bellevue (11-3-1) at noon on Friday in the first of two semifinals.
Westminster, Utah (10-6-2) is the No. 2 seed and faces Great Falls, Mont. (14-4) at 2:30 p.m. in the other semifinal.
