The Jamestown College volleyball team remained No. 2 in the latest Independent conference rankings.
The top 5 teams, along with host Arizona Christian, advance to the Association of Independent Institutions national tournament, which begins Nov. 9 in Phoenix.
The Jimmies (6-1, 20-10) are basically a lock to advance. They're closing in on their fourth straight Dakota Athletic Conference title. A win over Valley City State (5-2, 11-16) on Wednesday night would seal it.
The DAC weekly awards have been dominated by the Jimmies all fall. That is the case again this week as libero Katie Lee won the award for the sixth time. Setter Jada Meiklejohn collected her fifth weekly award and hitter Katie Zent earned No. 3. In all, the Jimmies have won 14 Player of the Week awards.
Lee had 90 digs last week. Meiklejohn had 89 assists and Zent finished with 43 kills as the Jimmies went 2-3 last week in five matches.
