Haley Nelson swept three of four events to take the all-around crown Tuesday in Valley City, helping the Jamestown High School gymnastics team to a dual victory over the Hi-Liners.
Jamestown rolled to a team score of 144, edging Valley City's 143.6.
Nelson won on bars (9.0), vault (9.25) and beam (9.5), en route to the winning all-around mark of 37.3. Teammate Rachel Schiele came in second (36.7), capturing second on vault (9.2) and bars (8.9).
Jamestown's Julia Skari placed third on beam (9.3) and tied for fourth in the vault competition (9.1). Jamestown's Lydia Stoterau worked into the top five results on bars with an 8.0.
Valley City's Karina Olson posted the score of the day, a winning 9.6 floor exercise. Jamestown's top routines in the floor routine were Nelson (9.55), Schiele (9.5) and Brenna Hatch (9.1).

The Blue Jays are scheduled to be back in action on Jan. 8 hosting a meet at their new gymnastics facility at 5 p.m.
